Championship Rnd 1

Can I put this to the vote please, last week was suposed to be Rnd 1 of our new championship with last night being Rnd 2,
Due to the weather we were down on numbers due to drivers understandably not wanting to drive.

I am proposing that we scrap Rnd 1 and make last night, Fri 25th Rnd 1 and make the championship 1 round less.

The majority vote on here by next Friday will be the result if everyone is happy with that.

Please post what you would like to see happen.

Well, it's a bit of a problem for me, having won.
I would say though that everyone knew it was Round 1 and what the weather was like and it was their choice to go or not. I don't blame anyone for not going it is only Toy Cars.
Thoughs that made it should be rewarded for getting there and racing.
We had 19 racers there.
Even Jason came over from near Maidstone and Olli from Whistable/Herne Bay area to race.
Just because some of the top races were missing, it shouldn't just be dropped, if anything, it should benefit the not so good ones that turned up.
I can't really believe we are asking this, but........Anyway, I will go with what ever is decided.

Whilst we are on the subject of Chamionship's, I was asked last night if we will be giving out Trophys from the last (very closely fought) one?

As andy said its only toy cars (yeah right lol) i wasn't going to risk getting stuck to come and play.
i'm happy for round one to stay for those how did go

I think Round 1 should stay if 19 racers braved the bad weather to go racing then they should get the points.

There is plenty more rounds to go and with drop scores I'm sure it will work out ok at the end of the championship.

I also wasn't going to risk it after some bad experience in getting home from other race meetings and I need all the points I can get.

Really glad I started this, just a thought when I posted it, wish I hadn't. Only wanted yes or no.
We will be giving trophies out just a delay in getting them as I told Shaun & Steve on Friday night.

Ok so round 1 stands, did not realise that a simple thought could lead to such emotion
Looks like its time the club had a committee so that I do not make any more wrong decisions.

This Friday is the last for taking membership for this championship, I will then publish the points each week.

I have had a request from one member for an extra point for FTD each week, are we all happy with this, happy to set this up if the majority agree.

Yep,
Extra point a good idea.
Means we are racing in the heats for a point rather then 4 feet of carpet.
But to be honest, it's how most of the other championships are running.

Yes, sounds good. Might make the championship even closer!

That just means i'm going to be even further behind

I'm not a great fan of point for pole maybe because I'm never on pole.

I'm not sure it will make for a closer championship but maybe try it for this championship and see how it go's.
