Racing 31st Dec

Hi All,
Just wanted to throw this one out there to see what people think.
How about running a race meet early on the 31st Dec lets say 4pm till 9pm, 4 quals and 3 finals (best 2 finals to count).
Now, this would depend on a few things.
Can we get the hall from this time on this day?
Do the racers want to do this?
Are the times right?
What will be the cost?
I'm sure there are other questions that need answering.
If we were to go for it, maybe it should be call the "New Year Challenge Trophy".
Might be able to get something from Xtreme-RC.
The times are just ones which I have just thought off as this will allow most to get back home in time for the midnight celebrations with their loved ones.
If we went for it, who knows maybe we could get Derek to bring sausages rolls and mince pies and you might want to bring any Turkey you still have as well.......
I know, I know, we haven't even said we want a meet on this night yet.

I am pretty sure they are having a New years party in the hall as they have most years,
I will find out though, I will also ask about the Wed/Thur night in case we could race then instead.

Yes Iam up for that. It would be good if we could temp
some more drivers to come from other clubs for a one off big meet.

I'm up for some racing over christmas but i can't do Thursday so Wednesday would be good for me.

So what do we all think about doing the meeting mid week then.

The only night available that week is Thursday 30th, we have provisionally booked the night from 5pm onwards, are we all happy with this ( sorry Iain, not good for you I know)

Sounds like this could be the start of a new class. Oh I don't know, lets say 17.5 or 13.5 with this type of shell (other types are available) and speedo set to PURE STOCK no turbo stuff.
May make for closer racing,......Tim.......LOL......
Could we run both.......ie have 2 cars......Hummmmmm...........

Oh, I forgot to say, Stick a set of Sorex on spoke wheels on should look cool.

racing on the 30th sounds good but not sure if i will be there as its my birthday.
