Display - Sunday 16th September

Just to follow up on what Andy spoke about last week, we have been asked to put on a display at an event being run in Dover.
This is on Sunday 16th September at Great Farthingloe Farm,Folkestone rd,Dover.CT15 7AA
It will run from 10am to 4pm.
I will hopefully know by Friday of what else they have going on, on the day.

If you are interested in coming along ( the more the better ) please can you let us know on here or on Friday night.

Yes chaps this event is still happening.
Mark will be on here (I'm sure to tell us more) once hs has received an e-mail back from the organisers.
But I talked to her today to find out if it was on and she said she would reply to Mark tonight.
I will be setting the track up on Saturday at about 2pm and then a fine tune on Sunday before we start.

Don't forget, car/cars, table, chair, food and drink. We will supply the Fun.
Try and get there between 09:15 and 09:30 if you can. This will be a chill out race meet (I hope).
The sports hall sits down behind the barn. Just follow the round round past the barn, turn left between the barn and the house and you will see the old sports hall ( I say sports hall very, very loosely) in front of you.

Yes sorry about that Steve. I didn't know you were thinking of coming over. Thanks of thinking of us anyway.
Things seem to change at the last moment down there. They had to go to a Funeral. Hummm... Let them off with that then I suppose.
OK, track is laid out with just some fine tuning to do in the morning. The floor is a little bit bumpy, but will be fine I'm sure. It,s also a bit oily in places. With the help of Gary and Tracy we have done our best.
When you enter the site from the main Folkestone to Dover road, (look for Farthingloe B & B) you will go along a wide entrance with small square speed bumps. As you get to the end of these stay over to the right (the left will take you round a loop). Just past the barn there is a concrete track between the barn and the single story building. Turn left down this track. The sports hall is then right I front of you.
Parking will be (as look look at the hall) to the left of the hall.
See you all there between 9:00 and 9:30.
PS. If you want to get there earlier its up to you. Mark and I will be there from about 08:30.

Thanks to Andy,Gary & Tracy for setting up the track, bumps and oil sounds like a recipe for a fun days racing.

I have worked handicaps for everyone which should be entertaining. (everyone gets extra laps added etc apart from some of us)
We will not have printouts of races but I have worked out how to view results on the screen and how to manually add laps - should be an interesting day.

We will decide tomorrow what to run but lets have some fun.

Great day indeed.
Well done to everyone for turning up and doing the Capel thing.
It really amazes me the lovely atmosphere our club creates.
The track was the track and the cars worked for some and not so good for others, but that's racing and what we do at Capel.
The venue has caused some talking points. We won't be moving the club to Fathingloe. But for a different place to race from time to time, well that's for us all to think, then talk about.
Well done Mark and Derick for the lap counting.
Not happy at not making the A final but then it's the second week in a row for Ian. LOL.
Don't you know who I am?

just want to thank every1 for making today an enjoyable and adventful day , nd andy, B final! whats going on?

Would just like to echo all the above comments,
Really enjoyable day with a great bunch of people.
No wonder Capel is so strong if we can get this amount of support from club members on a Sunday.
All drivers that attended will race for FREE this Friday coming along with a can of drink and choc.
On the racing I would like to say what a joy it was to hear "mr (I won it by a point) Ashman saying he's coming round to lap me again, I will make the most of it Andy I know it was a one off.
the tyres were totally the reason and were just a lucky buy off of EBay for £9.
They are SPC-UK I have found out and Pit Bitz can get them for £15.75.

Well done to all of you who made the A final and yes that is the second week I've only made the B but I don't fill to bad this week as I did beat Andy "I won it by 1 point".

I don't know why you are asking cancell your hoilday or go on Saturday. It will be quiet on Friday.
